Kalamazoo County K9 Fundraiser

OMNI Credit Union is hosting a fundraiser for the K-9 Team of the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday, December 6th, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at their OMNI location 6622 West Main Street, Oshtemo in front of Meijer. The proceeds will help fund the purchase of two new K-9’s. Recently, Sheriff’s Office K-9 Terek, sadly passed away due to health complications.

In an effort to raise awareness and funds for this worthwhile cause, OMNI CCU will be purchasing 100 fresh cut Fraser Fir trees (6′-8′ tall) and 100 Fraser Fir wreaths which will be available to the public on a donation basis only, with 100% of the proceeds being donated to the K-9 team of the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office.

In addition to the trees and wreaths, participants will enjoy a visit from Santa and McGruff the Crime Dog, face painting, SWAT, the Office of Emergency Management EM-50 Command Center, the K-9 team, hot chocolate and cookies, and to further enhance this special event, a live remote broadcast will be going throughout the day.

Deputies will be present to assist in the fresh tree and wreath selection and participants will have a chance to visit with the K-9 handlers and their dogs.

Sheriff Richard Fuller will be purchasing a tree for the Sheriff’s Office lobby where donations to the K-9 program can additionally be made. EVERYONE IS WELCOME! PLEASE COME AND SUPPORT OUR K-9 DEPUTIES AND THEIR DOGS!
